70 Mile Socks
Norsewear started manufacturing nearly 60 years ago in a small town in Central Hawke’s Bay called Norsewood. As it was from the beginning, today the town is still the heart of the business. Norsewood is where the factory is located and, from the company’s inception, its location and people have shaped the development of the products and our brand.
The business has changed its name to Norsewood Knitwear Limited but continues to manufacture on the Norsewood site, and brings in garments from around the world from manufactures who can meet the stringent quality requirements which its brands are recognised for.
Their 70 Mile Bush socks are a high-performance Merino wool and possum fur range, bearing the name of the densely-forested land that Norsewood settlers encountered in establishing the township.
